The primary reason why I joined KeepTruckin and left a big company like LinkedIn was because of Karsten.
During the interview, I knew that I wanted to be mentored by a highly-skilled designer and engineer with great leadership. He won me over on the team culture and company mission, which made me want to be part of it. I had an offer from Dropbox and was a good candidate for Pinterest but I ultimately joined KeepTruckin because of Karsten.
Karsten is a great leader that cares about the product he is building and doesn’t settle for mediocracy. He pushes his direct reports to not only unlock their true potential – but supersede them. A great mentor that has helped me grow into the designer/engineer that I am today.
I strongly believe if we can get Karsten to be the face of the design recruiting process, we can hire more top talent to join.
To top it off, he’s positive, humble, professional, yet super fun to work with.
